Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Performance Practices
The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Performance Practices (CIR), initiated by the Department of Drama and Theatre Studies, is based in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Science ( CACSSS). It brings together the various research interests of colleagues working in the field of theatre, drama, performance, digital arts, multi-media, history, languages and education.

There are number of ongoing research activities taking place:
PERFORUM is an events series organised by the Department of Drama and Theatre Studies, in cooperation with the Theatre Development Centre and resident theatre company Corcadorca. It features the work of directors, practitioners and researchers in the fields of Theatre, Drama and Performance Studies.
Students, staff and interested members of the public and wider theatre community in Cork are invited to engage in reflection and discussion with experts in the field.
