    National network for children’s clinical research launched\n

    In4Kids is the first clinical trial network in Ireland to focus on children's health.

    A new network putting children at the centre of decision-making in healthcare was launched today at University College Cork.

    Funded by the Health Research Board (HRB), In4Kids, the Irish Network for Children’s Clinical Trials, will support innovative clinical research and trial design for children in Ireland. It is the first clinical trials network in Ireland to focus on children’s health.

    The inaugural CoMH Research Conference, "from Molecules to People", took take place on 22nd September 2022 in the Devere Hall, UCC.

    This highly successful Conference showcased the diverse range of basic, translational and people centric research across the College of Medicine and Health.

    UCC is looking forward to hosting COMET 2023 in June!  #comet2023ucc

    COMET is an international and interdisciplinary conference on communication, medicine and ethics.

    COMET aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds, involving various healthcare specialities and the human and social sciences. A special emphasis will be on the dissemination of ongoing research in language / discourse / communication studies in relation to healthcare education, patient participation and professional ethics.

    The 2023 conference will be hosted by University College Cork (Ireland), and will take place in the Western Gateway Building.

    Join Schools from CoMH on campus for UCC\'s Postgrad Expo 2023

    Don't forget that UCC will be holding its annual Postgrad Expo on Thursday, 26 January from 3pm - 8pm in the Hub.

    Come along and find out more!

    You will be able to attend talks with panels of Academic Staff, Students and Industry Partners and will also have the chance to meet 1:1 and chat with staff and students to explore your postgrad options from taught programmes all the way up to PhD level.

    We are also planning some extra-curricular talks and initiatives around transitioning to postgraduate study and finding the right balance. There will be a chance for you to network over some delicious nibbles, plus, we will also have some lovely goodie bags to give away on the day so be sure to register your interest and secure your space!

    Art4Knowledge - free Art Therapy Workshop Series for people affected by cancer

    Art4Knowledge is a free Art Therapy Workshop Series funded by the Health Research Board (HRB) and facilitated by the UCC Cancer Trials Group (UCCCTG) in collaboration with Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork.

    It offers an Art Therapy intervention to patients with or beyond a cancer diagnosis, families or close friends of patients with/beyond cancer, and UCCCTG clinical trials teams.

    Participants will be encouraged to reflect on and better understand their own experiences, perceptions, and feelings around receiving cancer care and participation in clinical trials (patients/families), and the provision of cancer care (clinical trials teams), which they will communicate to each other using creative media. 

    NO EXPERIENCE OR SKILL IN ART IS REQUIRED!
