Walls and Integration:

Curated by Dr Alessia Risi of the Department of Italian, the photographic exhibitionn “Gates, No Frontiers” was staged on the second floor of the O’Rahilly Building in UCC from January to March 2017. 

In addition to this initiative, the one-day CASiLaC-funded event, “Feminist Insights on Europe Building”, which complemented the exhibition, was held at the same venue. 

In collaboration with:

Dante Lecture Series 2017

DANTE PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES 2017

The Department of Italian and CASiLaC (Centre for Advanced Studies in Languages and Cultures) UCC are pleased to announce a seventh series of public lectures on the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri.

All lectures will be in English. The Department gratefully acknowledges the support of the Society for Italian Studies.

Discussion of Exam Results & Viewing of Scripts, 2016

In accordance with the procedures laid out by the Examinations Officer (http://www.ucc.ie/en/exams/results/#d.en.464640), departmental staff members will be available to meet all students who are re-sitting examinations in August and departments will also provide access to scripts for all students as below.

The following procedures apply for accessing your examination scripts:

• Scripts will be viewable in the relevant department(s).
• Application forms to view scripts may be obtained from departments and should be returned to the relevant department(s). You will not be allowed view your scripts without prior notice to the relevant department(s). Application to view scripts.
• You will not be permitted to write on scripts. 
• Scripts may not be viewed by a third party.
• You will be supervised while viewing your scripts.
• You must also contact the relevant departments to make an appointment to discuss your examination results.

    Springboard: Certificate in Languages for the Global Marketplace

    The new "Certificate in Languages for the Global Marketplace" starts this October in UCC. This part time course is aimed at people who want to return to the job market with modern language and intercultural communication skills. The programme combines courses of Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian or German language and cultural studies with relevant business skills in marketing and management.
