Licencees in the Private Rented Sector

A recent seminar on 'Licensees in the Private Rented Sector: A Forgotten Sub sector?' was hosted by the School of Applied Social Studies, Threshold and ISS21.

The seminar was held on Thursday 26th October 2017 and was attended by representative from a range of housing and social service and advocacy organisations.  In addition to Ms Sheehy-Skeffington, speakers included UCC Research Officer Dr Mark Cullinane, Mr Kevin Nam and Mr Young Suk of the Korean Society of Ireland, Mr David Jones of Threshold the national housing advice agency. Proceedings were chaired by Mr Joe Finnerty of the School of Applied Social Studies.  The seminar was the culmination of the LIPRES Project (Licensees in the Private Rented Sector) which was funded by the Irish Research Council New Foundations Scheme  2017 (The PIs were Prof Cathal O’Connell & Mr Joe Finnerty and the Research Officer was Dr Mark Cullinane).
