The Centre for Hydrology, Micrometeorology and Climate Change (Hydromet) at University College Cork is an internationally recognised research centre. Hydromet has ongoing research in relation to greenhouse gas emissions in terrestrial ecosystems and catchment hydrology and is seeking highly motivated post doctoral researchers to contribute to data analysis, modelling and manuscript writing.

The successful candidates will:

  • Possess a recent PhD in Science or Engineering
  • Have excellent numerical analysis (e.g. Matlab) and modeling skills
  • Have a record of publication in peer reviewed scientific journals
  • Be capable of working as part of a team or on personal initiative
  • GIS skills would be an advantage.
