In recent years, the Medical School at UCC has embarked on a process of far reaching reform of its medical curriculum and is currently engaged in implementing these reforms. In response to the adoption by Government of the Fottrell report on Medical Education this year, the Medical School wishes to invite applications for a number of key academic appointments in medical education to work with the Director of Medical Education to deliver the new curriculum to the highest possible standard.
Research activity will be facilitated through affiliations with cognate disciplines in the university and with individuals with similar research interests.
SENIOR LECTURER IN HEALTHCARE ETHICS
Half time permanent post
The appointable candidate will organiseand develop a programme of Ethics in Medicine.Candidates will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline and appropriate experience of teaching at third level, including small group work. Candidates shall be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Salary scale [new entrants]: €65,036 – €92,150(pro-rata 50%)
