Research Pharmacist, School of Pharmacy
This post is being established by Townview Pharmacy, Cork Road, Mallow, Co.Cork. The successful candidate will register for a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy, University College Cork.
The successful candidate will work part-time in community pharmacy in our pharmacies. The remaining time will be spent researching for a higher degree. Specific research according to the needs of the Pharmaceutical Care Research Team will form the basis of the Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Laura Sahm and Professor Peter Weedle.
This post is designed to facilitate a recently qualified pharmacist who wishes to undertake post-graduate research work with a view to obtaining a higher degree whilst at the same time maintaining a reasonable income by working in practice.
Salary: €35,000 plus fees.
Candidates must hold a degree in Pharmacy and must be registered or eligible to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. Applicants are requested to send a CV with a short description (not more than 300 words) of why they want to undertake a Ph.D. The names and addresses of three referees should be included with the CV.
