Research Assistant Post - Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Group Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC)
The Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC) (www.apc.ucc.ie) is a research centre funded by Science Foundation Ireland and headquartered in University College Cork, Ireland .
Research Assistant Position – Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Group
A position is available for a research assistant (BSc or MSc) to support the in vivo study of immune-mediated gastrointestinal disorders and potential drug treatments for them. This research will involve both in vivo and in vitro work. Candidates must have experience with in vivo models of disease. The research assistant will be involved in the maintenance, breeding and profiling of in vivo models of IBD. In addition, it is desirable but not essential, that candidates have experience of some or all of the following; ex vivo organ culture, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, western blotting, ELISAs. The person will be expected to support and interact with a team of APC scientists and also work independently on individual projects.
