Professor of Hispanic Studies

The Department of Hispanic Studies offers a diverse range of subjects, including the Spanish language of Spain and its literature, Spanish-American literature and the languages and literatures of Portugal, Catalonia and Galicia.
Applications are invited for the above whole-time permanent Professorship post. University College Cork wishes to recruit a highly qualified academic with the strategic vision and drive to lead the Department of Hispanic Studies in research and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The appointee will have a distinguished record of publications in Hispanic Studies and the ability to lead a team of committed departmental colleagues. S/he will have the capacity to serve as Head of Department / discipline and the requisite communication, management, administrative and leadership skills. The appointee will be expected to represent the discipline both inside and outside the University.

Salary scale (new entrants): €111, 286 - €143, 193. Appointment will be made at a salary level appropriate to the experience of the candidate.
