Postdoctoral Research Positions in Medicinal Chemistry

Two postdoctoral researchers are currently required to work in the research team of Prof. Anita Maguire, Director of the Analytical and Biological Chemistry Research Facility at University College Cork, on a project in collaboration with EiRx Therapeutics. The programme is focused on the design and development of new drugs for cancer treatment based on initial exciting leads. Close liaison with the industrial collaborators will be a key feature of this research programme.

Candidates must have a PhD in medicinal or synthetic organic chemistry. Experience in drug design and development and / or molecular modeling would be an advantage. The positions are available from September 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.
