PhD Position - Neuropharmacology
Within the framework of an EU collaboration we are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to study the neurobiological and developmental mechanisms underlying anxiety disorders. Research will be conducted in the Laboratory of Neuropharmacology, School of Pharmacy, University College Cork, Cork City, Ireland ( http://www.ucc.ie/academic/pharmschool/staff/JohnCryan.htm)
Candidates should have a 2.1 degree or higher in a biomedical science subject including those with primary degrees in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Physiology, Biochemistry or Psychology and have a strong interest in Behavioural Neuroscience and/or Biological Psychiatry. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in behavioural, immunocytochemical or surgical analysis relevant to animal models of psychiatric illnesses. An M.Sc. degree is desirable but not essential.
