NMR Spectroscopist, Analytical & Biological Chemistry Research Facility
Applications are invited for the post of NMR Spectroscopist in the Analytical and Biological Chemistry Research Facility (ABCRF, http://abcrf.ucc.ie ) at University College Cork. This position will support the applications of NMR spectroscopy in the areas of synthetic and mechanistic organic chemistry, pharmaceutical, medicinal, analytical and bio-inorganic chemistry using BRUKER AVANCE 300, 400 and 500 MHz NMR spectrometers. Initially, the appointment is for one year but may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Applicants should have a PhD in the area of synthetic organic, medicinal, pharmaceutical, natural products or physical organic chemistry, have extensive experience of the application of NMR spectroscopy for determination of molecular structure and properties and analysis of small organic molecules in solution, and possess excellent IT and interpersonal skills.
Please include a 2 page outline of relevant experience with application. Salary in the range €40-45k depending on experience.
