College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences
The Department of Applied Social Studies is one of the largest departments within the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences. It is composed of a number of social science disciplines including: Social Policy; Social Work; Community Development and Youth Work. The department has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research in the social sciences and has received a number of recent grant awards from PRTLI4, IRCHSS and the Council of Europe/European Union.
Applications are invited for the above whole-time permanent position. The successful applicant will have an outstanding academic record in the social sciences. A strong commitment to research is essential.
Salary scale [new entrants]: €35,610 - €57,847 Bar €63,389 - €83,504. Appointment on the relevant scale will be made commensurate with qualifications and experience.
