LECTURER IN MODERN ENGLISH
College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences
Applications are invited for a temporary (two-year contract) post in the Department of English. The successful applicant will be a specialist in Eighteenth and/or Nineteenth Century Literature in English.
Responsibilities will primarily entail teaching courses or parts of courses in Eighteenth Century and Nineteenth Century Literature including Irish Writing and Women’s Writing, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The successful candidate willhold or be about to hold a doctoral qualification in the specified field.S/he will be engaged in current research.Published research is desirable. The appointee will have experience of teaching relevant courses at undergraduate and postgraduate university levels.

Salary scale [new entrants]: €34,912 - €56,713
[There is provision for for subsequent progression to a higher salary scale max. €81,867]
