LECTURER IN EDUCATION (EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDIES)
College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences
Applications are invited for this full-time permanent post in Department of Education. The appointee must have a PhD (or a nearly completed PhD) in Early Childhood Studies; experience of teaching at third level; be research active in the area of Early Childhood Studies in Ireland; have significant experience of caring for and educating children under the age of six years and a BA (ECS) Degree or equivalent. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in an interdisciplinary team in Early Childhood Studies consisting of: Education; Child Health and Paediatrics; Applied Psychology and Applied Social Studies. S/he will also contribute to the development of teaching and research in the Department of Education.

Salary scale (new entrants): €34,912 - €56,713 per annum.
[There is provision for subsequent progression beyond a bar to a salary scale max. €81,867]
