I am a structural geologist with over 25 years experience in academic life. I have quite a heavy teaching load which I generally enjoy. I have been quite successful in research grant capture over my career to date. I also have taken on various leadership roles including Head of Geology on two occasions. 

Approach as Mentor

My philosophy is to simply offer honest advice on the topics listed earlier based on my own experiences as a UCC academic. 

Type of Mentoring Offered:

1:1 Mentoring - longer term relationship (1 year plus).

1:1 Mentoring - short term relationship (6 months or less).

Speed Mentoring - One meeting to address specific mentee need.
