What does it mean?
As key institutions in Munster, Cork Opera House and University College Cork are responsible for helping shape the arts and cultural sector in our region and beyond. This partnership aligns the academic training provided by UCC with the internal operations of one of Ireland’s largest producing and presenting venues. This partnership will create industry leaders of the future. It will provide a pioneering platform for the next generation of artists and practitioners to learn and gain experience. Through the practical development of creative and producing skills, studying the artistic process and exploring the entrepreneurial spirit, the partnership will enable young artists and practitioners to enter the workforce with confidence, resilience and a deep understanding of the industry and its opportunities.
