Book Launch hosted by the Study of Religions Department and the Irish Society for the Academic Study of Religions

This event marks the launch of an edited volume by Bloomsbury Academic, offering a highly valuable snapshot of current research on Ireland's diverse religious field. Both editors - Dr Brendan McNamara (UCC) and Dr Hazel O'Brien (SETU) - will introduce the event. Emeritus Professor Brian Bocking (UCC) and Dr Alexandra Grieser (TCD), who have contributed an overarching introduction on the study of religions in Ireland to the volume, will contribute. The gathering will also hear from Dr Jenny Butler (UCC) in her role as President of the Irish Society for the Academic Study of Religions. The publication and event coincides with European Association for the Study of Religions annual conference, taking place for the first time in Ireland at UCC all this week.
