This symposium will explore the topic of institutionalising gender equality in higher education. Framed by copious research affirming the highly gendered and gendering nature of this context, this topic will be reflected upon through presentations of a panel of international experts, including Professor Fiona Mackay, Dr Mariana Szapuová and Dr Charoula Tzanakou. The symposium will be framed by the findings of the research study carried out by Dr Monica O’Mullane with her project, GendeResearchIreland. Following the panel discussion, there will be space for open discussion and debate on gender equality institutionalisation within the higher education context.
