RNA Biology
RNA Biology
Researchers in the RNA biology groups in the School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology are interested in non-coding RNAs, RNA-binding proteins and their complexes, epitranscriptomics, the mechanisms of mRNA translation (e.g. Recoding), evolution of the genetic decoding and its diversity. For their exploration we use a long range of modern biochemical, cellular and molecular genetics techniques, as well as high-throughput sequencing technologies, such as RNA-seq and Ribosome profiling and structural approaches such as cryoEM.
