Grasslands in Ireland Workshop

A workshop on the Future Opportunities for Grasslands in Ireland will take place at University College Cork on Friday 4th September.

Organised by the College of SEFS, the School of BEES and Teagasc, the interactive one-day workshop will have four keynote speakers.


Topics to be addressed will range from grass breeding and optimizing growth and yield, to animal nutrition and the production of biogas from grass. There will also be a panel discussion aimed at defining the key needs of the sector in terms of improvements in varieties, yields and sustainable growth. Key stakeholders across the AgriFood Industry, farming organizations, Government Departments are welcome to attend as well as those with an interest in the AgriFood sector.
