Watch Sunset - a short film set in the Jennings Gallery

13 May 2024

Written and directed by UCC film studies student Tereza Feixová.

The Jennings Gallery Committee was delighted when Tereza Feixová asked to film her short film Sunset, which she scripted and directed, in the Jennings Gallery.

"My name is Tereza Feixová, I moved from the Czech Republic to Cork in September to study Film at Screen Media, along with History of Art at University College Cork.

It has always been my dream to become a filmmaker, as I have always been passionate about film as a medium and form of art, that can convey feeling and capture life in a unique, incredible way. This is also why when presented with the opportunity to create my first film, I decided to set it in a gallery, a space that is the perfect vessel for art. I also felt very fortunate to be freely able to portray a queer storyline, inspired by my own experience. I hoped to create a simple, charming story of two aligned souls, who might seem the exact opposite on the outside - like day and night, finding common ground for communication and meeting each other in the middle, hence the name Sunset." Tereza Feixová
