The School of Plant Science hosted an intercative exhibition for SFI Science Week which took place 10th-17th of Novemebr 2024
On Tuesday, November 12th at 4 PM, the School of Plant Science hosted a science exhibition for SFI Science Week. The exhibition showcased a variety of topics in plant science. The ITEN stand was a popular attraction, drawing interest from individuals of all ages, including students, current staff members, and retirees at UCC. Attendees were highly engaged, asking questions and showing great interest in our tree ID and buds/twigs posters. Attendees were also curious about our Christmas cards, and several made purchases.
Several other plant science research projects were also featured in the exhibition. Their topics ranged from cleaning agricultural wastewaters to monitoring acoustic sound waves on crop growth. This diversity of research highlighted the breadth and depth of plant science research currently underway in UCC. Overall, the event successfully brought together researchers and the public, fostering engagement with plant science.
