Hazel Woods is an alluvial woodland along the shores of Lough Gill. Known for its rich biodiversity, it features native tree species and has historical significance, inspiring poet W.B. Yeats. Restoration efforts are currently underway to combat invasive species and enhance the area's ecological integrity.
