Why we need your help

People with DLD and FamilyThe driving force behind TICLD is to ensure that we maximise the benefits of language therapy for people with, or at risk of, language disorder. So you are an integral part of our work! Research into language intervention can be very unclear, making it difficult to apply research to real life scenarios. For example, participants in research studies often do not represent the people who are receiving or in need of treatment in the real-world (i.e. you). We want to try and close the gap between research and practice, so that you can choose interventions that address things that are important to you.

But we can't do this without your input.  As a person with (D)LD, or a family member, you can provide unique insight into how and what information is reported in intervention research, so that it is relevant to you in your daily life.

Take part in a focus group/consensus exercise

We need to develop a core team to include representatives from each of our 4 key groups across different countries, who will use and be influenced by the final reporting guidance. As a person with/at risk of (D)LD or a family member, you are part of one of our key groups, and we invite you to express your interest in representing this group.

Your involvement in the project will likely involve participating in a focus group/consensus exercise

If you are interested in taking part in this project and helping people with or at risk of language difficulties, please fill out an online form by following the link below. We will inform you of more specific details as soon as they become available. You are free to withdraw your interest at any time
