Happy New Year and hope you had a good break. Here is the news for this week.
UCC Men's Hockey made an appearance at the Munster Hockey Indoor Tournament in Kinsale last weekend. Playing two games against Ashton and Cork Harlequins the students were competitive scoring goals in both games. Indoor is a very different game to the outdoor game so it took the lads some getting used to the rules, flat ball, no tackling... the side will play again next weekend and we look forward to this group forming a senior side for next season. The women's section return to training this week. The 1sts begin their EY2 campaign this month with their first outing to the North against Ards.
The 2nds will be building up to their Irish Junior Cup clash against North Kildare on the 3rd February at the Mardyke.
Division 3 and 5 sides return to training next week and look forward to the second half of the season, building on their good form from the first half of the season.
It is also Munster Cup season for all teams so we look forward to some exciting matches in the coming weeks.
