This weekend the EYHL1 team take on Catholic Institute in the Mardyke, tip off 1pm Saturday.
The students had a tough loss last weekend losing 2-1 to Railway Union in Dublin. Scoring first through Jane Murphy, they played some excellent hockey. Railway got one back before the end of the first quarter. A goal scored from a penalty corner by Roisin Upton was the difference in the end and the students were disappointed with the final result despite playing aggressive, attacking hockey. All to play for as they go into the second half of the season.
Division 2 W continue their dominance in the Division 2 Munster League with an 8-2 win against Cork Harlequins B last weekend. They play away to Belvedere this Saturday, tip off 1.30pm. They will play the next round of the Irish Junior Cup on the 25th January with a home draw against Dublin side, Pembroke.
The Division 2 M side played at home to Catholic Institute. Both teams had the bare 11. UCC had patches of good play but couldn't keep Catholic Institute out. FT 0-4. The men play at home on Saturday against Cork Harlequins B. With an early start at 10.30am we will have to see if the match goes ahead with Storm Bert on its approach to Ireland.
Division 3 made up for their away loss to Limerick and won 4-0 against Cork Wanderers last weekend. They play C of I on Sunday in Garryduff, tip off 12.30pm.
Division 4 played Crescent at home last Sunday. A 1-1 draw puts the side top of the league table with 7 points. They look forward to travelling to Tipperary on Saturday with a 10.30am tip off at Rockwell.
