EuroBorderWalks team members were instructors at the ESA Summer School 2025 in Palermo
Two members of the EuroBorderWalks project research team, Prof. Maggie O'Neill (Chair of Communications Committee/vice president of the ESA) and Prof. Krešimir Žažar (Chair of the Postgraduate Committee), took part in the European Sociological Association PhD Summer School held from September 8 to 10, 2025 at the Università degli Studi di Palermo in Palermo (Italy). This extraordinary academic event gathered 30 early career scholars from 19 countries all around Europe who presented their inspiring papers linked to their PhD projects.
The theme of the course was “Minorities and Marginalities: From Discrimination Towards more Equal Societies” and within the training part of the program Prof. O'Neill gave a lecture titled “Walking Methods: Research on the Move“, while Prof. Žažar's delivered a paper on “Reviewing a Scientific Paper: Elements of Assessment“.
