Presentation at the European Sociological Association conference in Passau

On September 29, Prof. Krešimir Žažar presented a research paper at the ESA RN’s joint conference.
From September 29 to October 1 2025 University of Passau (Passau, Germany) hosted the European Sociological Association (ESA) mid-term conference "Grasping the Social: Reconnecting Sociological Theory and Qualitative Research" co-organized by ESA's research networks 29 for Social Theory and 20 for Qualitative Methods.
Within the conference, the EUROBORDERWALKS project team member Prof. Krešimir Žažar presented the joint paper titled “Grasping the Borders: From Theory to the Field and Back Again” prepared in cooperation with EUROBORDERWALKS fellows Maggie O'Neill, Agnieszka Golczyńska-Grondas, Vladimir Ivanović, Conach Gibson-Feinblum, and Aleksandra Sobańska. The key topic of the talk was perfectly suited with the general conference theme – how to reflect upon and comprehend the complex interrelation between theory and empirical research – based on the examples from the concrete research practice from the field on the borderland area of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
