Site Description
Slish Wood, located on the southern shore of Lough Gill in County Sligo, is a captivating forest area that offers a scenic 4 km looped walking trail. This trail provides views of Lough Gill and the surrounding landscape, including the majestic Killerry Mountain. The walk is characterised by its lush woodlands, which feature a mix of ancient oak trees—some over 250 years old—as well as Norway spruce, Scots pine, beech trees.
