Site Description

Clonbur Wood, located in County Galway is a woodland which forms a part of the historic Ashford Estate once owned by the Guinness family. The site covers approximately 293 hectares and features a diverse mix of native and exotic tree species, including beech, ash, hazel, and Scots pine. It is a part of the Natura 2000 network, which aims to protect and preserve valuable habitats and species across Europe. Additonally, Clonbur Woods has recieved several awrdas including,RDS Forestry Award 2012 and Energy Globe Award 2009.
