The area features a diverse range of native broadleaf trees, including ash, oak, birch, and hazel, alongside exotic species like redwoods and giant sequoias. Visitors can enjoy the Cong Nature Trail, a scenic 2.3 km loop that showcases impressive trees and historical landmarks. Notably, Cong Woods is connected to Clonbur Woods in County Galway.
