Direct Entry into Medicine for Dental Graduates

Advanced Entry into Medicine for Dental Graduates beyond First Year:

Dental graduates who have a demonstrated intention of following a career in Oral Medicine and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery including full completion of MFD/MFDS will be considered for admission to Second Medicine by applying for Advanced Entry. Applications will open on 5 March 2025 and will be made via the UCCApply portal. The closing date for application is 2 April 2025. Late applications cannot be considered. 

Scanned copies of supporting documents have to be uploaded with your UCC Apply Application so please have the following documents ready for upload:

• Transcripts - if applicable
• Proof of Identity - Clear readable copy of one of the following; Passport/ Birth cert/ Irish Driving licence (credit card format)/ Marriage cert
• Evidence of full completion of MFD /MFDS
• Evidence of English Language Proficiency - if applicable

 Dental graduates may be called for interview.  This is subject to the availability of places.
