The Niteline online listening service is available on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9pm and 1am.

Niteline is a listening service for students by students. It is not a counselling service.

We adhere strongly to the principles of confidentiality and anonymity - we are a non-judgemental, non-directive, non-advisory listening service. We’re here to listen, not to lecture.

Our instant messaging service is 100% anonymous – we cannot see any of your details and no one can see your conversation except for you and the Niteline volunteer. All chat histories are deleted once the conversation ends.

Messages that are threatening, abusive or sexually inappropriate will not be tolerated.
