Year 1 BSc Nursing and Midwifery students in the School of Nursing and Midwifery in UCC recently attended a Clinical Commencement Ceremony to celebrate a very important milestone in their student journey ahead of their first clinical placement. At the ceremony, students were reminded that being a student nurse or student midwife comes with a responsibility to exemplify professionalism and a commitment to caring.

The 2025 Annual Achievement Awards at the School of Nursing & Midwifery were a vibrant celebration of excellence, compassion, and innovation in healthcare. 

From April 22-24, 2025, over 70 delegates from 15 countries attended the Early Career Researchers’ (ECR) and Roundtable Meeting of the Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities (PIMD) Special Interest Research Group (SIRG) at UCC, both online and in-person.
