University College Cork will host its inaugural Refugee Week from February 5 to 9, with an exciting line-up of events for the public.

January is the month of resolutions and fresh starts. 

New research has shown that mammals such as the fox, red deer and hare are becoming increasingly hemmed in by human-dominated landscapes.

Seven asylum seekers and refugees will receive full scholarships enabling them to study at University College Cork, which has been designated University of Sanctuary status.

“Who learns here belongs here” – the sentence is slowly and carefully delivered by Dr Karl Kitching as if to emphasise its simple but powerful message.
