Doctoral Researcher Phil Maguire @ Zeitgeist Irland 2024
Department of Music doctoral researcher and Senior Technical Officer Phil Maguire will launch his new CD, faint red / pencil lines on Farpoint Recordings at Anima Mundi #5, a series by Errant Sound that is part of Cultúr Éireann's Zeitgeist Irland 24 festival in Berlin. Phil will perform at Morphine Raum on 12th October.

Arts Council/UCC Traditional Artist in Residence 2025 - Call for Applications
TRADITIONAL ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT UCC The Arts Council and University College Cork invite applications from traditional artists of distinction for the role of Traditional Artist in Residence at UCC for the calendar year 2025. The Traditional Artist in Residence, based in the Department of Music, is designed to provide a traditional artist (traditional musician, singer, dancer, story-teller or practitioner of the oral arts such as agallamh beirte and lúibíní) with a unique opportunity to develop their practice in a university environment while offering students the opportunity to engage with a practising artist in a meaningful way during the course of their studies.

UCC Department of Music launches 2024-2025 FUAIM Programme
FUAIM Music at UCC is delighted to welcome back colleagues and students to the new academic year with news of our Autumn 2024 season of Friday lunchtime concerts, FUAIM Lectures, and events in the Departments of Theatre and Film & Screen Media. The Friday lunchtime concert series begins on Friday 27th September with a performance by the brilliant Rasa Nua, back by popular demand and featuring UCC's own Dara O'Brien with a programme of contemporary, Indian, klezmer and new world music.
