The Discipline of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (MIRT) at University College Cork brings together academic and clinical experts to advance education, research, and leadership by radiographers and radiation therapists.

Our mission is to provide a world-class educational experience for the next generation of leaders in radiography and radiation therapy. We will achieve this mission through: research that contributes to the evidence base and improves diagnosis and treatment for patients; excellent pedagogy that focuses on active learning and constructive alignment; active leadership of local and national political, educational and research collectives.

Record number of MIRT presentations at the European Congress of Radiology

Eight staff and six postgraduate students represented UCC at the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, with a record programme of presentations, live research data collection at the EFRS Research Hub, and two hands-on workshops.
