Outline
This modules aims to teach students about interdisciplinary research and problem solving.
Practicalities
On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- Source and familiarise oneself with scientific information on a given topic.
- Write a summative literature-based report on the given topic.
- Independently perform a selection of experimental procedures pertinent to the area of research of the supervisor.
- Independently assess data relating to the area of research of the supervisor.
- Produce a written report on the experimental approaches taken and data acquired.
- To logically discuss and draw conclusions from data and the skills acquired.
- To write a reflective narrative on the value of the transferable skills acquired.

Requirements
To be eligible to apply students must be currently
- 1st or 2nd year undergraduate student registered in the School of Nursing and Midwifery
- 2nd year undergraduate CUBS registered students
Final decision on all applications rests with programme coordinator.
Students who pass this module may not use the credits accumulated to compensate for a failed module within their degree programme’s prescribed curriculum as this an extracurricular micro-credential
