To provide recommendations to health agencies and other stakeholders on how to develop or build a data infrastructure that allows seamless linking of air quality with administrative health data. Currently, such linkage is not possible due to privacy issues. Recommendations for best practice without compromising data protection regulations will be made through:

• Identifying shortcomings of current infrastructure
• Highlighting what additional data are needed
• Highlighting where additional air monitoring stations are needed and if additional pollutants should be measured
• Recommending workable changes to how we currently collect and store data that will facilitate research into the impact of pollution on health in Ireland
