Certificate in Social Citizenship

This is for new applications only.   Previous applicants who have received an answer about their application should not apply. 

Before you download and complete the application, please note the following:

• You must be at least 18 years old to apply for the Certificate in Social Citizenship (CSC).
• You must have an intellectual disability. We may ask you to give us paperwork to show that you are over 18 years old and/or that you have an intellectual disability. 
• The CSC course is not open to people who have already completed a course with UCC, including the CCL.
• Please note the closing date for applications is Monday, 31st August 2026.
• You must get two references to support your application.  It is the responsibility of applicants to make sure that references are sent to Loretta Brady at idplus@ucc.ie.
