Overview
Addressing the issues inherent in being an international academic, where language and culture may be different to those brought up in Ireland or the UK. There is a focus on the challenges of communicating with clarity and purpose in a second language and building confidence and credibility with your personal impact. This is not a language course, but a workshop that focuses on the specific communication needs of the cohort in the room - this is a workshop about advocacy, finding your voice and maximising your personal impact in the academic structures of the university.
