New Starters

Dear Colleague

In this section you will find the necessary paperwork supporting academic staff Probation and Establishment track.  All academic staff undergo local probation as set out within the University’s Statute; with a formal report being presented to the Lecturer Promotion and Establishment Board.  Establishment For those Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer colleagues holding a permanent contract requires a formal report to be presented via the Head Academic of Unit at the end of Year 1 and Year 2.  The process of Probation and period of Establishment supports academic staff by ensuring they remain on track as they settle themselves into both their role and the University.  This support can take the form of advice and guidance as well as an indication of meeting the expected requirements at the level of the post.

Below you will find links to the relevant information and forms for Heads and for academic staff on track for Probation as well as Establishment.   If you have any questions beyond what is presented here please do not hesitate to contact our team.
