UCC Department of Theatre is delighted to announce that UCC Youth Theatre is opening Sign Up for 2022-23 for a limited number of spaces. Workshops will start back on the Tues 20th Sept  from 7-8:30pm in person in the Theatre Lab. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to come along and try it out. 

Inclusive Dance Cork is a pilot training programme open to dance and movement practitioners interested in learning inclusive dance methods. It is planned as a two-year training programme for professional artists, teachers of dance, and dance practitioners, inclusive of people with and without disabilities.

The School of Film, Music and Theatre at University College Cork, Ireland, is seeking a candidate for an MRes – Masters by Research -- Studentship as part of our working relationship with Cork Opera House. The Studentship is one of the four pillars of the COH-UCC collaboration. An independent-minded, driven artist, whose artistic process demonstrates strong affinities with research-based investigations, and who enjoys engaging with theory-practice integrated approaches, will be well-suited to this opportunity.

Words & Bodies is a collection of collaborative pieces surrounding the themes of sanctuary and refugee, all of which involve found texts from those who have had such experiences. The texts were found after a research process and are from a range of sources.

Cork Opera House and University College Cork Department of Theatre have announced a Theatre Artist in Residence Programme that will provide a bursary of €20,000 to a professional theatre artist who identifies as autistic/person with autism.

The Department of Theatre is excted to host an online open evening next Thrus 20th January at 7pm.
