Keynote Address
This year the keynote address will be delivered by Dr. John Quinn from the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford.
Having studied zoology at UCD John’s first ornithological job was as Roseate Tern warden onRockabillIsland for the IWC in 1989. He then moved on to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge inEngland where he worked on wetland conservation. Eventually John studied the nesting association between red-breasted geese and raptors in Arctic Siberia for his DPhil atOxford, where he has remained ever since, in recent years as a Lecturer in animal behaviour. His current research interests are predation, individual behavioural variation and avian ecology generally.
