Biography
“Starting my PhD in Imperial College in the Autumn of 2012, I quickly realised how well equipped I was to take on research at one of the world's premier engineering faculties. The solid engineering principles of the BE Civil degree do not equip one solely for a career in design or construction; the maths, physics and computing studied develop key problem solving and numerical skills that are highly valued in the professional world.”
“The degree opens many doors. For example, my PhD research is the study of the fracture fatigue of jet engines, working closely with engineers from a top UK aerospace company.”
