About us
About Us
Civil Engineering in University College Cork has a long and distinguished tradition dating back to 1845. Our degrees are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord and formally accredited by Engineers Ireland, previously the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.
Many of our graduates are currently in top positions within the profession and in industry, both at home and overseas. In recent years, we changed the discipline name to Civil and Environmental Engineering and modernised our curriculum. Our new curriculum attracts women and men interested in the environment, the application of computer science or management.
