Arianna graduated in Biotechnology for food quality and safety from the University of Bari (Italy) in 2019. She wrote her MSc thesis at the IBMCP in Valencia by studying CRISPR/Cas9 as a new plant breeding technique.
During her PhD in Food Microbiology, Arianna focused on sourdough and sprouted grains to improve foods' nutritional and functional features based on cereals, pseudocereals and legumes.
As a postdoctoral researcher, Arianna joined the Cereal and Beverage science research group. Currently, her work is focused on the upcycling of brewing by-products.
