Thanks to our College of Science, Engineering and Food Science staff and students who participated in the Cork Carnival of Science recently. The event was held at Fitzgerald Park and featured family-friendly experiments, interactive activities, garden games, street cuisine and live demonstrations.

Trained Farmer Status for UCC's Agricultural Science Graduates
10 Feb 2022Graduates of UCC's Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree can now add trained farmer status (also known as the ‘Green Cert’) to their qualifications. This is the basic agricultural qualification necessary to qualify as a Young Trained Farmer (YTF). On completion of a Green Cert course, students meet the requirements of a qualified farmer for the purposes of all Revenue and Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) schemes.
