Meet the Team behind Operation Transformation UCC

Operation Transformation UCC is being coordinated, delivered and supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated team, providing expert advice and practical support to make this venture a sucess. It is an excellent example of the spirit of co-operation that exists in UCC. Students, Staff and Partner providers working together for the greater good. See below.

 
Dr. Michael Byrne  MB. BCh.BAO.BSc.DCH MICGP FRCGP

Dr Michael Byrne Co-cordinator UCC Health Matters

Michael is providing the medical surveillance for the volunteers including weekly weigh-ins, physical examinations and lab. and ECG investigations.

 

Charlotte Cummins Nutritionist  KSG (Kylemore Services Group)

Charlotte is the resident nutrionist for KSG, and has developed the nutritionally-analysed menu plan available to our Leaders and everyone else in UCC.

 

 

Dr Janette Walton UCC Health Matters Nutrition Action Group

Janette is our in-house UCC nutrition expert advisor to Operation Transformation, and will provide advice and support to all via Facebook and our Website.

 

 

Alanna McKenna Personal Trainer The Mardyke Arena

Alanna is developing the personal exercise plans for our Leaders and taking them through their paces using the world-class facilities in The Mardyke Arena.

 

Claire Murphy Personal Trainer The Mardyke Arena

Claire is also developing the personal exercise plans for our Leaders and taking them through their paces in the world-class facilities at The Mardyke Arena.

 

Dave Carey Health Promotion Project Worker UCC Health Matters

Dave is our HPPW and leads the operational side of UCC Health Matters and Operation Transformation amongst the students and staff.

 

Martin Davoren  Health Promotion Evaluation and Support Worker UCC Health Matters

Martin provides  logistical support to ensure UCC Health Matters Operation Transformation UCC runs smoothly. Martin is currently completing a PhD.

 

 

   
   

 

Other Supports

UCC Health Matters Operation Transformation has taken off because of the generosity of spirit and considerable commitment of a number of people.

These include, Caroline Jensen, General Manager KSG(Kylemore Services Group) and Patsy Ryan, General Manager, The Mardyke Arena, UCC.

UCC Students' Union has supported and provided much of the impetus behind this project and the group of students from the Masters in Interactive Media are doing great work on video blogging and our Social Media sites.
